DAAKE Creates Buffet Cancer Center Brand

DAAKE created the new brand identity for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center which recently had ground-breaking cermony. 

The color brandmark features two “C's” for cancer center that arranged to form a “B” for the Buffett family and a “3” for the center's three focus areas: research, treatment and education.

The logo’s colors are bright red and dark red for the center's two medical partners, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and The Nebraska Medical Center; pink and blue for cancers in men and women; and green for life and health.

The brand will be used online and on all of the center’s communication tools, and will be placed on the building when it is completed in 2016.

Phenomblue Rebrands AIM Institute

AIM Institute has updated their name, dropping the "Institute" from their name, as well as logo and branding. The logo and branding was done by Phenomblue.

The Web Designer/Front End Developer will work with the Marketing and IT departments to create engaging brand building websites that engage and attract customers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Balance time between Web Development and Web Design
• Develop web applications/pages using current CSS3, HTML5 and PHP standards
• Provide technical and creative advice during product development stages
• Design user-friendly and visually appealing websites
• Work directly with in house marketing team to ensure goals and needs are met in the design process
• Create websites and web applications for a variety of brands
• Test functionality of websites in various browsers for quality assurance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 2+ years work experience
• Excellent work ethic
• A passion for web design and a drive to stay current with the latest trends and technology
• Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members
• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities within strict time constraints
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills
• Portfolio with a range of samples that demonstrate relevant work or projects
• Strong graphic design and creative abilities.
• Proficient in current CSS3 and HTML5 standards
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Understanding of W3C standards and general design principles
• Proficient in 3rd party CMS platforms such as WordPress
• Proficient in PHP coding language
• General understanding of Windows Server environment, IIS6 or newer
• Knowledgeable with current Responsive design trends and techniques
• Knowledge of primary SEO elements
• Experience with MySQL databases
• Understanding of best practices for user experience

Mutual of Omaha partnered with Phenomblue to create the My Wild Kingdom adventure app which features different adventure lines that encourage users to interact with animals. Users can apply filters like old adventure photos or video captured on 8 mm film. Lincoln-based Maly Marketing has an immediate need for an account coordinator to manage a diverse client base. Minimum would be 30 hours per week, but would prefer a full-time employee.
