Heineken "F#%k It" Viral (Student Work)

These two videos have been circulating the advertising blogs lately and I thought I would share them with you also. The videos are done by a group of students a communications and design school in the Netherlands. The videos were posted on YouTube and have garnered much attention because of the crude situations depicted in the spots. You can read an interview with two of members at the blog, Quiet Glover (which from the short time I have known about the blog is great. Just which I could speak French).

Mountain Dew "Tug-of-War"

I usually don't care for the Mountain Dew spots but this one is very clever and gets its point across in a smart and interesting way.

Dairy Queen - Antidisestablishmentarianism

I don't know if you have noticed but the new Dairy Queen commercials make me laugh every time. The humorous commercials are an improvement from the the talking lips commercials. I noticed the commercials have been brought several times in conversations, which is good that people are remembering the brand and the product its selling and at the same time are engaging.

K-Y Yours+Mine Commercials

Here are three commercials for the K-Y product Yours + Mine. While past K-Y product commercials are usually tacky and stupid which usually makes me change the channel. While the topic of a sensual lubricant is hard to make interesting and hard to come across in an appropriate manner. However these spots come across smart and are very funny but don't cross the line like AXE or TAG.

Nike "Take It To The Next Level"

First there was Michael Mann directing a action packed football commercial for Nike and now Guy Ritchie directed a commercial for Nike Footbal (as in soccer). Enjoy. I did. Immensely.

DirecTV "Louder"

I enjoy the latest DirecTV work that gets us "inside" the board room of a generic cable company. In "The Office" style humor while one exec, who I believe is Ed Begley Jr., comes up with hair brained ideas to help the cable company against DirecTV. These are the only two I could find right now. Enjoy the series.

Taco Bell "Bacon Club Chalupa"

This TB commercial made me chuckle. I know that other TB spots are trying to be funny but this one caught my attention. It has the same humor style of Burger King commercials. Get it there in a club and its a Bacon Club Chalupa. It nice to see the "Axe Effect" reversed and done in a classy way unlike the Axe spots.
