TD Ameritrade is building a new building, they bought the naming rights to the new downtown Omaha baseball stadium, the owner has bought a baseball team, and now they have a new lead creative agency. Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco has joined the roster of agencies TD Ameritrade to help market its retail business.
Goodby won the account, after a review that start in May, from incubent Ogilvy, New York. In the AdAge article, TD Ameritrade spent $334 million on measured media, with $287 million specifically to marketing the company's brokerage business. With an account that size I am curious if Goodby will open a service office in Omaha AND does this mean the end of the TD Ameritrade spots with Law & Orders Sam Waterston?
