New Work from Corporate 3 Design

Too much to split out into multiple posts, Corporate 3 Design has been revealed several new pieces of work. Most recent was a Flash-based Advertising Framework panel for the home page of OrientalTrading.com.

UPDATE: Shawn Hartley posted more details about the Flash project in the comments. He said the ad framework is configured with an XML file that OTC can update and manage switching out the features and images.

Additionally Corporate 3 Design launched a website redesign for Direct Tech.

 

Then back in June Corporate 3 Design broke new web work for Methodist Hospital's Perinatal Outreach, Methodist Physician's Orthopaedics and brand refreshing of the Morrissey Engineering identity.

Omaha Creative Week Next Week

The first ever Omaha Creative Week is a week away. Lots to do. There are still spots to sign up for the Stack UnConference Conference. From the looks of the "Who's Coming" page, pretty much everyone is going.

Webster Design to Host Unwined Event During Creative Week

Unwind is a get together for creative colleagues over a glass of well deserved vino. Attendees are encouraged to design their own custom wine label and bring it (attached to a bottle of wine) with the intent of swapping wine and label at the event. And if you don't want to make your own label you can still attend with a purchased bottle of wine wrapped in a well-designed label to swap. Webster is providing some light hors d’ oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages, too.

The event is Thursday, Sept. 9 starting at 6 pm at the Webster Design Garage. Learn more about the event or register today.

Metro Identity Follow Up

Oxide has posted a full write up on the Metro identity work including photos of the new bus wraps and signage. For the new identity Oxide want to create a look that conveyed keywords like safe, clean, dependable/consistent, convenient, green/eco-friendly, civic, modern/progressive and reflective/productive. Oxide also recommended changing the name from “MAT” to “Metro” to better help position the public transit system is one part of a larger, nationwide whole. VIEW POST

Oxide Design Helps Rebrand Metro Area Transit as Metro

This morning there was a revealing by the Metro Area Transit (MAT) of a rebranding as Metro. Oxide Design was apart of the rebranding designing the new logo and redesigning the website, which has been changed to OMetro.com.

More details to come (keep an eye out on the Oxide News Blog) but I can assume Oxide help with the picking of the new name and the design of signage and iconography for the new transportation identity.

Birdhouse Interior Design Identity from DownsDesign

DownsDesign has uploaded some images of the newly designed business cards and identity for client Birdhouse Interior Design. With the logo and business cards finished we will keep a look out for a newly redesign Birdhouse website coming soon.

On another note DownsDesign celebrated this weekend its two year anniversary. Congrats to Eric Downs. I tip my hat for taking a risk with starting and growing his company within these hard economic times.

OfficeMax Facebook Apps by Phenomblue

Partnering with Tribal DDB, Phenomblue launched several Facebook "experiences" aimed at integrating the Facebook community with the Office Max brand around the Back-To-School push. The four experiences include "Status Stickers" badges, "Can you Make the Grade" quiz, "How I Spent My Summer" photo gallery, and a "Office Supply Personality Test." VISIT THE SITE

Omaha Creative Week's Creative Spacewalk

I'm late to game on this announcement but I thought I would post it anyways just in case anyone didn't hear about the Creative Spacewalk on Twitter or Facebook. The spacewalk is an event taking place during Omaha's Creative Week, which will allow you to scope out offices of the agencies and design firms around the city.

The spacewalk is a two day event with tours in the AM and PM with stops at Phenomblue, Oxide Design Co., Rebel Interactive, the Mastercraft Building (aka What Cheer, Secret Penguin, Minorwhite Studio and CAMP), Bozell and DAAKE. On both days the tours start at 9 AM at the Westroads' Food Court and returns at lunch so you can jump off if you can only do the AM tour or hop on if you can only make it for the PM tour.

Oxide Design Helps Redesign Voter Registration Form

Because of the work Oxide did helping develop national ballot design guidelines and Drew Davies' role as the Design Director of the AIGA's Design for Democracy team, Oxide has established itself as a leader in information design.
