From an interesting posting on blog The Bullshit Observer, the blogger breaks down the stone cold facts about Twitter and its users and to help out us out even more the blogger breaks it down visually too.
- 21% of users have never posted a thing.
- 5% of Twitter users account for 75% of all activity.
- The vast majority of Twitter users are in 4 US cities and one Canadian one (NYC, LA, Toronto, SF, Boston)
boo ya! twitter is lame, especially because it's over saturated with marketers. i think the only people who use it are those that are over compensating to stay on top of the technology game -- btw, has any one figured out how to make money from content on the internet yet?
don't spread your specialties too thin...

Yeah I agree with this - I've been working in the social media marketing stage for quite some time and twitter is the least of my focus. I've heard that there are some strategies on marketing with this technology but I haven't seen anything worth turning my head just yet. Twitter seems merely a duplication of the facebook status and I feel it rely's strictly on it's social hype to maintain a strong industry presence. As for the previous comment. I have managed to find a means of making money from internet content through google adsense. For more information please feel free to visit my business site at -
