The Durham Western Heritage Museum has changed their name to The Durham Museum because of the evolution of the museum's focus away from Omaha's history and Western-themed exhibits to the exploration of history, culture, science and industry. From the WDA website concerning the thought behind the new design, "We created a new logo using type influenced by the art deco architecture of the museum and included an homage to the old logo by incorporating the wavy lines symbolic of Omaha's river-city heritage."
The unveiling of the new identity also included a new website, building signage, newsletter and print collateral materials. You can visit the new website at durhammuseum.org.
