We’re looking for someone to take on the role as Digital Developer. If you consider yourself to be a Web developer, then that’s a good start. But what we’re really looking for is someone who can help us do more than just build websites. We craft Web-based software solutions, so our ideal candidate is not only talented and experienced, but also enjoys thinking outside the box. Plus, he or she should want to work in a fun, relaxed environment, because we believe that’s where great ideas happen. Responsibilities include

• Development and maintenance of custom web applications and marketing solutions.
• Programming of systems in ASP.NET or PHP for integration with front-end interfaces built using, X/HTML, CSS and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery.
• Development and maintenance of client web properties and their supporting systems.
• Conversion of web design files (Photoshop/Illustrator) into working experiences.
• Setup and development of Content Management Systems like WordPress, Joomla! and Drupal.
• Development in Objective-C for iOS devices.
• Executing standards-based email marketing campaigns.
• Implementing Search Engine Optimization plans.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

The qualified candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• At least three years of fulltime development experience.
• Thorough knowledge of using X/HTML and CSS for standard’s compliant web development.
• JavaScript and using libraries like jQuery to provide rich client side experiences.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL preferred.
• Experience with PHP and/or C#/ASP.Net preferred.
• Experience with Apache and/or IIS preferred.
• Experience with common development tools and environments like Microsoft Visual Studio or Dreamweaver.
• Familiarity with basic Search Engine Optimization principles.

Grain & Mortar Adds New Clients

In a post on their Chalkboard, Grain & Mortar announced that they are doing projects for Omaha-based Offwire, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Google, Inc. Summer Tomato's maintainer/owner is married to a venture partner at Google, so the great work that G&M did for the blog impressed people at Google, nice work.

SecretPenguin Brands Core Bank

Core Bank was born from the merger of Omaha's Centennial Bank and Omaha State Bank. SecretPenguin created the logo and branding for the new bank. SecretPenguin created a launch site with a introductionry motion graphics video. VISIT SITE

From images posted on the web, it appears SecretPenguin is going to be designing everything from stationary, business cards, personal/business debit cards and even the deposit envelope.

Works with Account Manager to organize and facilitate client objectives as they relate to web and other digital experiences. Oversees and manages the architecture and implementation of each interactive project to assure that they are seamlessly implemented within an approved timeframe and budget.

Responsibilities

• Digital Know-How: Understands how data is displayed and utilized from a database,  
  and knows digital layout basics, including the possibilities and restrictions within modern code (HTML5, CSS, etc…).
• Manages Relationships: Provide the attention and expertise existing clients expect

• Oversee Projects: Outlines and manages online campaigns and projects through their development, production and implementation

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years of interactive project management experience, preferably from  
• a traditional advertising agency setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of interactive/internet communications projects

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and delegate assets
• Proven knowledge and experience with HTML and CSS
• A bachelor’s degree

• Understanding of web typography, grids, and basic HTML/XHTML
